Hillsboro Christian School

ADMISSIONS POLICY

Since Hillsboro Christian School is interested in enrolling a specific type of student, each student and parent must fully support and cooperate with our school administration, faculty, and staff in order for a child to attend or remain in the school.

Attendance at Hillsboro Christian School is a privilege and not a right, which privilege may be forfeited by any student who does not conform to the standards and regulations of the institution.  The school may request the withdrawal of any student at any time, who in the opinion of the school, does not fit into the spirit of the institution, regardless of whether he conforms to the specific rules and regulations of the school.  Hillsboro Christian School does not discriminate in its policies regarding a person’s race, ethnicity, or national origin

Enrollment Process Information

  1. Information Packet: You will be sent an information packet that will contain documentation to determine if you qualify for admission or that Hillsboro Christian School offers the type of education you desire for your child(ren). If, after review of the enrollment materials, you wish to pursue enrollment, please complete and return the enclosed enrollment materials.
  2. Informational First Interview: Once we receive the forms noted in Step 1 we will arrange a parent interview with the school administrator or pastor.  Your child may attend with you.  Parents will learn more about the school and have an opportunity to ask questions and tour the facility. If you have any questions about the admissions procedure, call the school office at 478-2233.
  3. Second Interview: If you and the school administrator, or Pastor, agree to pursue enrollment further, you may be scheduled for a second interview. At that time you will meet with an interview team of school officials. If your child(ren) is deemed qualified for enrollment by the interview team, you will be notified within a few days to a week and sent additional forms to complete and return to the school office.
  4. Final Acceptance and Covenants: You will be notified in writing of your child(rens) final acceptance after all covenants are accepted and submitted by you.
  5. Testing: Standardized achievements or grade level testing may be given to help determine how your child is performing academically in comparison to the class he/she will be entering.  Testing will be used if the child is determined to be functioning below grade level or if the school feels there is need to determine if any academic deficiencies exist that need to be remedied.

NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED UNTIL ITEMS 1-5 HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
